A Totally PreWired home is a
home that is designed to the homeowner's specifications and needs. With
that in mind these are our standard services:
Design Conference: A
meeting with one of our design consultants and the homeowner's and/or
builder. During this conference the options available for the home will be
explained, and guided by the homeowner's and/or builder's preferences and
expectations, a wiring design will be completed.
'Rough-In' Conference:
An optional meeting with one of our design consultants and the homeowner's
and/or builder. During this conference the actual locations for all wall
boxes, controls and speakers are set.
Audio Distribution:
Depending on the chosen technology, either heavy guage speaker wire or CAT5
cable is run to all Speaker and Control locations as well as the 'wiring
closet'.
Computer Network Wiring:
Using 'Home Run' or 'Star' wiring topologies, CAT5 4-pair cables are run
to each designated network location from the 'wiring closet'.
Infrared Distribution:
CAT5 cable is run to all receiver and emitter locations, as well as the
'wiring closet'.
Internet Interface:
High grade RG-6 cables are run from the 'wiring closet' to the
demarcation point for using a Cable Modem or to the site of the dish for
satellite based internet.
Telephone Wiring:
Using 'Home Run' or 'Star' wiring topologies, CAT5 4-pair cables are run to
each designated phone location from the 'wiring closet'. In addition a CAT5
cable is run to the telephone company's 'demarcation' point from the 'wiring
closet'.
Video Distribution: At least
one, preferably two, and sometimes three high grade RG-6 coax cables are run
to each designated video location from the 'wiring closet'. In addition,
depending on the chosen technology, high grade RG-6 cables are run, from the
'wiring closet', to the demarcation point for using a cable based video or to
the site of the dish for satellite based video.
